I still remember sitting in the lobby watching my daughter as a white belt Martial Arts looked interesting I was overweight with borderline high blood pressure and my doctor was hounding me to do something about it I should lose a little weight first and then I wouldn t look so frightened I was 39 years old and headed towards and early heart attack I gathered my courage and approached Jonathan Four years later I ve lost 32 pounds and 15 points of both sides of my blood pressure I ve gained confidence in myself although I still would never be seen in public in a Speedo and have joined Integrity s leadership training program Perhaps my greatest achievements here have been my increase confidence and self worth I remember when I injured myself and needed surgery to fix the problems Previous to this training I would have ended any activity but with the support of peers and some unusual rehabilitation regimes I was back and practicing within a few months My wife has said over and over again that this is the LONGEST I have stuck with an activity since she s known me and that s 20 years Integrity Martial Arts is a special place full of very special people and I am honored to be a part of that Nowhere have I been involved with a group whose goals are intrinsically identical This makes for a congruency of approach which is a benefit to all of Integrity s students Students are trained both to be good martial artists and good people Discipline and respect are taught to be practiced beyond the dojo and be integrated into every facet of your lives Dwight D Eisenhower wrote that The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity Without it no real success is possible I believe that Integrity Martial Arts trains their students to be successful parts of an ever changing and an increasingly challenging world In 20 years look at our leaders I wouldn t be surprised if Integrity Martial arts was a prominent entry of their resumes of life
