IMA has had a huge impact on my children especially Alex He has learned self control and has begun to grasp the concept of self-actualization He sets goals for himself regularly and has become extremely driven Martial arts as well as IMA have become part of his sense of self and I think it has benefitted him tremendously As a parent I have enjoyed the sense of community and getting to know other parents The teachers and teen assistants are excellent role models for my kids I also like the belt advancements and other ceremonies and feel they serve as a sort of rite of passage which are sorely lacking in our culture Thank you Sensei Jon and all the other teachers and staff for all your hard work and commitment to our children s development
