Through my time being in Martial Arts I have gone through so many life changes I have become a leader had much more confidence and have reached my goals Integrity is like a family to me no that s a lie they ARE my family I could NEVER perform in front of 8 000 people at a UCONN Half-Time Show if it hadn t been for karate because my lack of confidence and I wouldn t have joined Demo Getting my black belt was quite the experience Chris said You may not like me now but you will thank me when the test is over And you know what He was right They pushed us and pushed us to our breaking points but only to make us stronger As I have heard once in a quote A black belt is a white belt who never gave up And you know what That s very true Over the years of being here at Integrity I ve seen many people come and go Most of the friends that started up from the after school program with me had slowly stopped and began to leave until I was the only one left from my school But I though one thing you know what that s means I have to represent for the studio and be proud I m happy I stuck with it Some new and old friends come to the studio Look at me I ve grown up matured and am ready to face the world I just can t believe I am going to be a senior next year Karate has given me the courage to want to do more for my community and to check out the National Guard I would never think of going into it but when I see people like Sensei Buck I decide I wanna be just like him I m joining the National Guard
